Keisha Hampton

Comments: The All-Star Girls Report lists Keisha as the #2 power forward and #23 overall and she was also nominated to compete for 7th Annual McDonald’s All-American Team. The 6’2 forward ranked #13 at her position and #60 nationally over all on hoopgurlz.com averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds her senior season and was selected to attend the 2007 Nike Skills Academy. She has averaged a double double for her third straight season and was featured in Sports Illustrated “Faces in the Crowd” section this past winter. After losing three straight Public League championships she redeemed herself and led the lady engineers to a championship title as a senior and was named Co-MVP with freshman teammate Brittany Hrynko. Keisha has received All-Public honors her sophomore, junior and senior years and after being named third team All-State as a junior she was named first team All-State and All-City her senior year. The Philadelphia Inquirer named her PIAA District 12 AAA and South Eastern PA Player of the year in 2008 and she was also nominated for the Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania. Keisha has also been active on the AAU circuit playing with the DBL Phoenix and the nationally known New York Gauchos who she lead to the Nike Nationals. She has also been getting the job done off the court being named to the honor roll for her acchievements in the class room. Despite her hectic schedule and all of the national attention Keisha still finds time to give back and volunteer at the Emanuel Recreation Center where she coaches and teaches basketball fundamentals to the youth. She has received many scholarship offers and high interest from major programs such as Florida and St. Johns. Keisha is a star and she will shine bright as a Blue Demon next fall as she has signed a letter of intent to Depaul University.
Kyle Djavan Johnson

Comments: Kyle has been a dedicated member of ISAA since his junior year at Communications Tech High School. New to both ISAA and the world of competitive running Kyle has proven himself in his short time in this sport. After being named third team All-Public his junior year he qualified for the PIAA State Cross Country Championship as a senior and was named second team All-Public. He is currently striving to qualify for track and field as well after being a Public League Finalist as a junior. During the summer he was a finalist at the USATF Eastern Regional Championship while running for the Colonial Track Club. Kyle has been just as successful as a student; receiving second honors his junior and first honors his senior year. He was the only student from his school to be named to the National Honor Society and was voted the best student and most sophisticated male of the senior class. Along with ISAA Kyle has been involved in numerous programs such as Philadelphia Futures, the Young Leadership Connector’s Project, Cross Boundaries College for Young Professionals Dual Credit Program and the Philadelphia High School’s Athletic Leadership Initiative. He was part of the Ecology Program at Eastern University and Haverford College’s Government Program. He has done communication internships with the School District’s TV Station P.S.52 and WHYY. He represented his school and video technology at the high school expo and created video entry at the TSA (Technology Student Association) State Competition. Kyle will pursue communications at Millersville University next fall where he will undoubtedly build on his academic and athletic accomplishments.
Ashton Clark
School: Philadelphia Electrical & Technical High School

Comments: Ashton lead her team in scoring, 3-pointers, assists, rebounds, steals and blocks. She averaged 21 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals per game her junior season and was selected 2nd Team All-Public. She was also named to the Larry Hennessy’s Sweet 16 at the Pennsylvania/Maryland Spring Basketball Shootout in 2007. Ashton is equally outstanding in the class room as on the court and has maintained a 3.5 GPA. She was named to the National Honors Society her junior and senior year and also helps tutor students in her school. Ashton has received scholarship offers from Neumann and Keystone College. Mansfield and Millersville University have also shown interest.
Zafirah Green

Comments: Zafirah did not begin running track until her junior year, but has achieved a great deal in this short time. As a junior she competed in the 100m and 200m dash as well as the 100 hurdles. She also ran the 4 x 400m and 4 x 800m relays. During the summer she competed in various United States Track and Field (USATF) meets with the Colonial Track Club. She qualified for the USATF Eastern Regional Club Championship and placed 5th in the 100m and 10th in the 200m dash helping her team finish 6th out of 17 while qualifying for the USATF National Club Track and Field Championship. Z’s senior year marked her cross country debut. She medaled in her divisional meet and was named All City. On her club team she competed at various USATF regional meets and was part of her clubs National Club Cross Country Team. During the indoor track season she competed in the 34th Annual Colgate Women’s Games. During the 6 week track and field series she earned points in both the 55m and 200m dash. She opted to run the 55m dash for the finals at Madison Square Garden where she finished 5th in the race and 6th in overall point scoring despite missing the first week of competition. Zafirah is gearing up for what promises to be a successful outdoor season and will attend the Community College of Philadelphia this coming fall before transferring to a four year school.
Cyara “Cece” Woodridge
School: Freire Charter

Comments: As a three sport athlete Cece has led both her basketball and volleyball teams to several play-offs and a State Title while maintaining a 3.0 GPA. At 5’8” 130lbs Cece is a versatile shooting guard and wing player. She has played on the varsity basketball team since her sophomore year. As a sophomore she averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 assists per game. She led her team in scoring 3 pointers, rebounds and steals and was 2nd in blocks and assists. She recorded nine double/doubles in 13 games and was selected 2nd team All- Public. At the Keystone State Camp in 2006 she won the 2-on-2 Championship and was named to the camp’s all star team. As a junior she led the team in scoring, 3 pointers and steals and was 2nd in rebounding and blocks and 3rd in assists. She recorded 3 double/doubles on her PIAA State Championship run and was named 2nd team All-Public again. Cece was named to the Larry Hennessy’s Sweet 16 at the Pennsylvania/Maryland Spring Basketball Shootout and the All-Star Team at the Blue Chip Camp in Kentucky in 2007. She was ranked top ten in the National Collegiate Combine in 2007 and is listed as a player to watch in the Class of 2008 on pahoops.org. Cece lead her volleyball team to the playoffs and a Bronze Division Championship as a senior and also played softball for one year in which she received the leadership award. With so many activities she still finds time to coach 5 year olds at Sharon Baptist Church. She has received several scholarship offers and has gained interest from many schools including East Stroudsburg, Shaw, Winston-Salem, Morgan-State and West Chester. You can learn more about Cece at
